Review Policy

My Review Policy (As of September 2016)

Requests to read and review a book or interview an author from publishers, publicists, and/or authors are not only welcome but enthusiastically received. This stands for books already published as well as advanced copies of books for review—which I am more than happy to receive. I review all types of YA & NA literature, including apocalyptic, contemporary, fantasy, paranormal, historical fiction, mystery, post-apocalyptic, dystopian, romance, thriller, and some science fiction. Please, no requests for adult fiction or gay/lesbian/bi/trans. Self-published works are welcome, but I maintain the right to deny a review.

Every book I receive is listed in my “Stacking the Shelves” posts. At this point, I am reviewing every book I read. My purpose for starting this blog was to easily spread the word about the books that I’ve read and what I thought about them to like-minded readers or readers looking to branch out and try something new in the hopes that they might find a new world or journey to experience or characters to fall in love with just as I have.

I don’t take criticizing anyone’s work lightly, but I strive to write honest reviews based upon my feelings toward a book and how I felt during the reading process. That being said, it should be noted that because these reviews are written based upon my opinion alone, they are subjective. I do feel a responsibility to chronicle the books I haven't enjoyed as much and why just as much as the books I have enjoyed. My reviews include cover art, a brief description of the book (from either Goodreads or Amazon), a rating of 1 to 5 stars, publication details, affiliate links when available, and then my personal thoughts about the book. I publish my reviews here on my blog, as well as Amazon, Goodreads, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and Facebook.

***Please note before contacting me for review consideration, I do post DNF reviews as long as I have read 25% or more of the book and I have clear reasons for not finishing the book. The reasons for not finishing the book will be explained within my DNF review.
